CIT Cork School of Music

The CIT Cork School of Music is located on Union Quay The college was founded in 1878 and became a school of Cork Institute of Technology in 1993. The school currently operates from a five-floor music centre which was built on the site of the former premises which opened in 2007. Located adjacent to the Cork City Hall and across the river from the College of Commerce, all the music competition venues will be centrally located within easy reach of each other.


With over 50 classrooms on site, the CIT Cork School of Music will host many of the competition venues for the music, singing, storytelling and comhrá gaeilge competitions. The school also contains two impressive theatre's, the 300 seater Curtis Hall and the 150 seater Stack Theatre which will be the venues for some of the most popular music competitions.


The CIT School of Music will also be the venue for the Scoil Fonn agus Amhráin and the Slide and Polka Workshops on Friday, July 21st
