Official Opening of Fleadh na Mumhan

What a fantastic opening concert on Sunday night for the opening of Fleadh Cheoil na Mumhan 2023! Tadhg Ó Maolcatha, Chairman Munster Comhaltas opened this years Fleadh na Mumhan and spoke highly of the committee for their efforts in making sure every detail was been looked at to make sure Fleadh na Mumhan would run smoothly. Other speakers on the night were John Lucid, Chairman Fleadh na Mumhan and Pa Daly TD.

On behalf of Kerry County Board Karen Trench and John Stack made a presentation to Assunta Ui Chathasaigh to mark her retirement as Secretary from Munster Comhaltas. Assunta has always been a great friend to Kerry CCÉ - Kerry County Board of Comhaltas. and we were delighted to be able to mark her retirement on this very special night.

The large audience were then treated to a wonderful family Concert with special guests including Jimmy Hickey, Jonathan Kelliher, Greta Curtin Music Footsteps, Betty and Katie Joyce from Ballybunion Comhaltas, Spa Killarney U12 Ladies Ciaras Team, Valerie and Kayleigh Enright Lixnaw Comhaltas, Alannah Prionnsias and Mairtín O Cathasaigh, Craobh an Aghasaigh, Karen Trench Ballydonoghue Cce, Caoimhe Daibhín and Daithi Laide Ballydonoghue Lisselton CCÉ, and to Martina, Grace, Colleen, Olivia and Sean Angland Glenflesk CCÉ - a huge thank you.
