Lismore to host Fleadh 2026

Comhairle na Mumhan CCÉ are delighted to announce that Fleadh Cheoil na Mumhan 2026 will take place in Lismore, Co. Waterford from July 13-18 2026 where it will be hosted by CCÉ Ballyduff/Ballinvella/Ballysaggart. The inaugural meeting to elect the Fleadh Executive Committee took place on Sunday, Dec 14th in Ballyduff. As in recent years, there will be no competitions on Sunday, July 19th 2026 due to a clash with the All-Ireland Hurling final.

Lismore has a distinguished history with the Munster Fleadh, having previously hosted the provincial festival in 2000 and 2006. Remarkably, 2026 will mark exactly 20 years since the town last welcomed this prestigious celebration of Irish traditional music, song, and dance. It will also be historic as Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann will celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2026 and there will be celebrations in Lismore throughout the week.
